About Our Client

My client is a specialty finance company who is looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst in the Accounting team located in New York.

Job Description

  • Prepare, review and analyze financial statements with referenced work papers.
  • Prepare financial statement footnotes and supporting schedules.
  • Research and document GAAP accounting policies including writing memos to support accounting treatment for unique transactions.
  • Prepare Analysis of account balances and variance explanations.
  • Assist with external auditor requests.
  • Coordinate information requests from other internal teams.
  • Assist in preparation of compliance reporting.
  • Identify and implement Process improvements.

The Successful Applicant

  • 2-4 years of financial reporting experience.
  • Bachelors in Accounting.
  • CPA highly preferred.
  • Ability to resolve and analyze accounting issues in depth according to GAAP.
  • Advanced Excel
  • Experience with JD Edwards E1 general ledger and Reports Now systems a plus.
