Job Description

The Food and Beverage Controller will:

  • Financial planning (short and long term)
  • Budgeting, procurement and inventory control
  • Develop internal control policies and procedures
  • Budget administration, cash management and general accounting
  • Preparation of financial statements and forecasts
  • Reporting for activity, budgets, sales, expenses and revenues
  • Review menu item costs and pricing, revise as needed
  • Ensure quality, specifications and pricing for food and beverage orders
  • Supervise purchasing warehouse departments
  • Month-end close
  • Monitor labor costs
  • System implementation
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Successful Applicant

The Food and Beverage Controller will have:

  • 5+ years experience in Hospitality Accounting
  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Hospitality
  • Management experience
  • Experience with POS and inventory and purchasing management systems
  • Budget and forecasting experience
  • Food and Beverage accounting experience
  • Knowledgeable of local, state and federal laws pertaining to food and beverage handling, storing, and service
  • MS Office Excel/Word/Outlook experience
