Job Description

Our client is seeking a Global Vice President of Human Resources who will report directly to the CEO or CFO and will be responsible to provide human resource leadership and guidance for the Company. The Global Vice President of Human Resources will play a key role in developing and executing Human Resources initiatives, providing excellent internal customer service and consultation, driving excellence and championing innovation and continuous process improvement for the Company. This individual will drive effective Human Resource management practices as well as lead the implementation of company human resource initiatives. Day to day responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide proactive, expert advice on all human resources and learning related issues to the CEO and Executive Management Team.
  • Works within the organization to strengthen people systems, processes and infrastructure to support Company's strategic direction.
  • Ensure alignment and effective implementation of strategic initiatives through effective organizational design and strong change management practices.
  • Teams with the CEO/CFO and Executive Team to develop, cultivate and promote a strong and positive culture within Company.
  • Formulate business-driven Human Resource policies that align with the Company's business goals, and strategy. Continuously evaluate all HR policies, programs and practices.
  • Define key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and benchmark and implement best HR practices.
  • Review legal and governmental reporting requirements.
  • Provide global oversight of all Human Resource areas in all.
  • Develop and implement global employee communication program.
  • Ensure consistency and compliance of HR policies and practices across all global sites.
  • Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefit programs al all levels of the company.
  • Review current performance appraisal, pay policies, and propose competitive improvement as needed.
  • Conduct salary analysis and establish wage and salary structure and policies.
  • Review, design, and negotiate competitive benefit plans.
  • Oversee the implementation of all benefit programs.
  • Directs organizational operations planning and development of structure job design manpower forecasting and succession planning
  • Oversees implementation and monitors standards with labor management and scheduling programs
  • Assists Operations Management with labor union matters as needed, to include participation in contract negotiations, arbitration, resolution of grievances and unfair labor practices
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and trends related to day to day employee management across multiple geographies reducing risks
  • Develop proactive programs aimed at recruiting, developing and retaining top talent for the company to include effective recruiting strategies, total rewards strategies, employee retention, and career development programs
  • Ensures top talent is hired and retained by maintaining ultimate responsibility for talent pipeline of external and internal candidates
  • Directs the development and implementation of new hire orientation programs
  • Develops and implements an annual HR and talent strategy aligned with the company's strategic plan
  • Tracks turnover and retention statistics to work with facilities in developing a detailed recruitment and retention plan
  • Establishes key talent-related metrics, works with leadership to tie these to business results and develop a detailed plan to ensure results are met
  • Implementation and coordination of career development and succession planning

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related field is required
  • Master's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of ten (10) years human resources related experience
  • Five (5) years of management experience required
  • SPHR/PHR designation preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively build rapport at all levels
  • Strong influencing skills with the courage to confidently express an independent point of view
  • Experience in educating senior executives on overall organizational performance
  • Strong developer of people and cultivator of teamwork
  • Hands-on, operationally strong and strategic HR professional, high energy, proactive, pragmatic change agent, and self-starter
