About Our Client

Our client is a non profit organization with multiple programs supporting the Greater New York City area

Job Description

  • Initiates project set-up, completes project closeout procedures, and communicate variances from expected due dates for technical reports
  • Assist investigators in identifying potential funding sources.
  • Monitors and coordinates the audible reporting of cost share required on projects and provides reporting and documentation to funding agency when necessary.
  • Work with Principal Investigators to resolve issues; maintains ongoing forecast of funds available throughout grant period
  • Review appropriateness of transactions and budget re-allocations against funding source guidelines. Work with Research Finance to resolve complex accounting issues
  • In coordination with Research Finance, oversee contract billing and receivables
  • Initiate and process reimbursements, purchase requisitions, and check requests for assigned grants/contracts. Coordinate with appropriate research staff on supplies spending for assigned grants/contracts

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelors degree in finance or accounting
  • 5+ years Post award budgeting experience
  • 3+ years non profit experience
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables & V-Lookups)
