About Our Client

Major international publically-traded media company is seeking a Group Financial Reporting Director to sit in the New York City office.

Job Description

  • Manage roll-up of all P&L and Balance Sheets, ensuring consistency of reporting among business units
  • Provide support to finance teams at each business unit level
  • Support Financial Controller in development and ongoing improvement of the reporting function
  • Manage the operating cost allocations to divisions teams within the Americas
  • Ad hoc project work including assistance with acquisitions
  • Assist with day-to-day management of year-end process
  • Liaison with external auditors
  • Ensure business is up to date and prepared for all new financial/accounting changes
  • Build/maintain a high performing reporting team through effective management, coaching, motivation, and recruitment

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Group Financial Reporting Director will have:

  • Bachelor's degree (CPA ideal)
  • 7+ years of experience including technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP and/or IFRS)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience with consolidations
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Oracle and/or Hyperion (HFM) experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
