Job Description

HR Generalist Duties and Responsibilities:


- Maintain a full-cycle recruitment pipeline

- Conduct preliminary interviews for positions

- Post open requisitions on relevant websites

- Process background and reference checks for all final-round candidates

- Manage career discussions with current corporate employee population

HR Metrics:

- Track and maintain statistics for recruitment costs, referral source, open job postings, turnover, temporary employees, harassment training, relocation, continued education, wellness program, etc.


- Complete and post forms for new hires, changes and terminations to Mercer

- Enter I9 information into eVerify system

- Compile and send new hires employee collateral

Performance Management:

- Maintain the performance review system with current employee status

- Assist employees with system inquiries


- Liaise with payroll regarding onboarding and off boarding employees, reviewing reports, password resets and edit timecards

- Notify IT of new hires, changes and terminations via e-mail or e-form

Additional Responsibilities:

- Complete employment verifications, process invoices and handles expense reports for the HR department

- Provide general administrative support for HR staff including filing, miscellaneous projects, reports and general inquiries

The Successful Applicant

Successful candidates for the HR Generalist position will possess the following skills and characteristics:

- Four year bachelor's degree preferred

- 3-5 years of Human Resources experience in beauty or a related industry preferred

- Excellent MS Office Suite and analytic ability

- Proficient ADP preferred

- Experience in planning, staffing and organizing essential

- Experience in electric controls or manufacturing industry

- Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines

- Experience in employee relations preferred

- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

- Advanced professional discretion with confidential information

- Detail oriented

- Customer service oriented
