About Our Client

Our client is a well known food and beverage company in New York, and is looking for a Human Resources Manager who will handle employee relations and compliance issues for its retail population. We are looking for someone with strong communication and organization skills to support retail staff. The right person has experience in an HR role and is comfortable juggling multiple projects.

Job Description

HR MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Act as the first line of defense for employee inquiries about benefits, payroll, recruiting, and company policies
  • Compliance and knowledge of state and federal law
  • Advisor in hiring, on-boarding, benefits enrollment, HR-related reporting, and workers compensation
  • Project support and administration

The Successful Applicant

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERISTICS:

  • 2+ years in an HR role.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Upbeat self-starter
  • Proven track record of employee relations experience for a retail population
  • Experience with human resources compliance
  • Federal and State Employment Law knowledge
  • Advanced prioritization skills the fast-paced day-to-day tasks, as well as step back to think creatively and contemplate the long-term vision
  • Ability to work independently and on team player
