Job Description

Applicants should have demonstrated experience in river, stormwater, dam hydraulics (outlet works and breach scenarios), and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling. The right person for this position has a positive attitude, a love of the outdoors and a passion for all things related to water.

This position requires interaction with engineers, scientists, ecologists, regulators, contractors, and clients, focusing primarily on the analysis, modeling, design, permitting and construction oversight for a variety of water resource projects. This position requires the capability and willingness to participate in physically demanding field work in remote locations and travel to job sites throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, and between the Company's offices as needed. The Successful Applicant


  • Team player with a multidisciplinary approach to design
  • Project management experience
  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering or related engineering degree from an ABET accredited university a hydrological field
  • 4-10 years relevant experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and modeling, including HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS
  • Experience in modeling stormwater, constructed wetlands, wetlands mitigation projects, and river restoration
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and experienced in GIS (for use in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling)
  • Strong technical writing and oral communication skills
  • Organized
  • Work collaboratively and independently
  • Ability to travel to various locations for projects
  • A passion for restoring aquatic ecosystems and solving problems


  • 2- and 3-dimensional hydraulic modeling
  • Dam Break Analysis
  • MicroStation
  • Experience in Total Station and/or GPS surveying
  • Education/training in river and stream geomorphology
