About Our Client

Our client is a growing consumer packaged goods company located in Culver City, CA.

This position oversees all daily inventory activities within Oracle to ensure accurate financial valuation and integrity of inventory average costing and reporting.

Job Description

  • Manage and resolve all inventory discrepancies between Oracle and third party vendor and/or fulfillment centers
  • Understand procure to pay process, driving efficiency and change where needed
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Accounting, Order Management and International Operations Staff to ensure transaction processing is in compliance with established internal processes
  • Coordinate all month end inventory closing activity as required
  • Write and maintain accurate written procedures for all inventory control processes and functions
  • Review cost adjustments and purchase price variances. Take action to resolve transaction errors and/or complete necessary cost adjustments
  • Report on cycle count and inventory accuracy metrics for warehouse locations and conduct periodic audits
  • Validate accuracy of offsite inventory and fulfillment processing through confirmation, counts, and reconciliation. Employ necessary cutoff procedures for accurate revenue recognition
  • Ensure appropriate transfer accounting and reporting procedures are performed including follow-up on aging in-transit, cost or quantity differences
  • Assist Accounting in addressing reconciliation questions/concerns
  • Support year-end audit

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelors Degree in Accountin/Finance or Supply Chain Management desirable
  • 3+ years prior applicable experience in inventory control management
  • Good working knowledge of inventory processing flow from purchase order through final payment
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Oracle experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in using computer based systems and math for reconciling numeric data
  • Prior work experience with accounting teams preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Possess strong organizational skills and be able to establish priorities
  • Able to multi task in a fast paced environment
