Established bank with a large presence in the United States which offers growing opportunities in their Midtown, Manhattan office. Joining the banking team as a Investigations Officer could lead to prolonged or additional opportunities within the firm.

Job Description

The Bank is seeking an Investigations Officer to join their already established team in their Midtown, Manhattan office. This individual will be joining a team comprised of many permanent associates as well as consultants. A majority of this work flow will consist of transaction monitoring, identifying suspicious activity or anomalies, and working with the team and management to ensure mitigation of such risks or suspicious activity. If warranted, the Investigations Officer will also be required to draft, write, and file Suspicious Activity Reports with FinCEN. Our client is seeking professionals with at least 1 year of prior AML/BSA related experience and have strong oral and written communication skills. Training will be provided as well.

The Successful Applicant

Investigations Officer:

  • Bachelor's Degree is a MUST
  • 1-3 years of AML/BSA experience required
  • Transaction Monitoring experience is a MUST
  • SAR writing or familiarity is a MUST
  • Strong foundation of online research and desk-based investigative techniques
  • Ability to handle multiple alerts
  • AML control function duties is a plus
  • Knowledgeable of Banking, USA Patriot Act, BSA requirements and other regulatory trends
  • Banking experience is a plus
  • Bilingual abilities is a plus
