Firm located in Center City, Philadelphia and they are searching for a high performing IT Support & System Manager

Job Description


  • Assumes full responsibility for the optimal functioning of all office technology.
  • Manages Windows based servers.
  • Plans, installs and maintains network infrastructure equipment including cabling plants, communications backbone equipment, and telecommunication hardware. Coordinates with vendors, consultants, as necessary.
  • Performs LAN administration functions, such as network printing, directory structures, rights and security on file servers. Adds and removes user accounts, modifies security and access rights as required.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and corrects hardware, software, networking or operations problems. Tests and implements solution.
  • Designs and implements backup and recovery procedures.
  • Administer and maintain telecommunications: including local/long distance carrier, ISP, conference call services, and internal systems (client/voice mail accounts)
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.


  • Ensures safety, security, and integrity of company data from corruption, loss or theft
  • Conduct routine comprehensive audits of IT infrastructure and policies and client training and develops recommendations
  • Ensure security of company data, network access and systems


  • Develops knowledge of available technology and effectively communicates relevant IT-related information to staff.
  • Set up equipment and system access for new and existing employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.

The Successful Applicant

  • Translates business requirements into technical requirements
  • Negotiates, writes, monitors and reports on internal and external service-level agreements
  • Develops and manages relationships with 3rd party vendors.
  • Project Managers for most IT projects. Including in-depth research, hardware/software purchasing, upgrades, and implementation.
  • Manages staff of IT professionals and/or contractors who provide externally sourced IT services to the organization including hiring, training, scheduling work assignments and conducting evaluations. Ensures that the team provides needed support throughout the company as required.
