Our client is a large CPG firm based in Ontario and they are one of the largest wholesalers of food in the US.

Job Description

INITIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the consolidation and preparation of monthly, quarterly annual financial reports
  • Assist in analysis of monthly financial results and reconcile supporting documentation
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget and supplemental forecasts
  • Build complex financial models to analyze strategic business options and identify key value drivers
  • Follow industry key drivers and trends that influence the company's competitive position and conduct comparable company analysis
  • Work with sales operation group to improve promotional spending tracking and analysis with the goal of improving effectiveness and streamlining processes
  • Work with manufacturing and supply chain groups to improve cost and working capital structures and optimize operational processes
  • Develop and continuously upgrade financial reporting and key metrics
  • Develop and maintain cross-divisional relationships with key business partners to maximize team's effectiveness
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information and reports, share best practices and develop systems knowledge
  • Perform special projects and assignments as required

The Successful Applicant

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Highly motivated and creative individual who is results oriented and has demonstrated academic and professional excellence
  • Up to 2 year's work experience in financial reporting, analysis, modeling, and budgeting with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility
  • Self-motivated and resourceful; able to multi-task and focus on delivering results
  • An articulate communicator who also recognizes the importance of listening
  • An team player who collaborates well with others and builds strong working relationships
  • Must have a strong work ethic; sense of accountability, open to feedback and focused on achieving excellence
  • Strong project manager with a desire to improve processes, takes initiative and committed to developing creative solutions that generate value
  • Analytical, quantitative and logical with raw intellectual ability
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Access and Powerpoint
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related field
  • MBA from top tier business school
