My client is a privately-owned commercial wholesale bank based in Midtown Manhattan.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Re-validate the intended design of critical exception reports in the credit area - primarily escrow and collateral management purposes.
  • Verification of FISERV escrow account.
  • Perform review of lending all transactions (edit control) on an ongoing basis.
  • Verification of New Loan establishment on the Fiserv system, including all field information on the offering ticket.
  • Verification that the approved loan credit memorandum and closing documents matches the information as entered on the Fiserv computer system.
  • Verification of documents for accuracy of all closing documents.
  • Verification that rate changes are entered correctly and contain the proper authorization and supporting back up documentation.
  • Verification of insurance amounts and information on the Fiserv system.
  • Assist in documenting processes in loan servicing - particularly the loan boarding process.
  • Assist in the implementation of special Loan Projects.
  • Provide assistance for loan serving personal in the boarding of loans.
  • Maintain the Quality Control manual with updating procedures and annual reviews.





SPECIFIC QUALITY CONTROL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quality Control Verifications: Functions are performed through verification procedures:
    • Flood Determinations are located on file for all property secured loans
    • Flood insurance (if applicable) information is added to the Fiserv system and copies of the determination are within the credit files.
    • Hazard insurance is on file for all loans secured by real property.
    • Tax payments are up to date on all property loans.
    • Mortgage recordings are in files for all real estate secured loans.
    • Legal document recordings (such as UCC's, Liens, and insurance premium secured loans) are on file for all loans requiring collateral.
    • Loan offing tickets is properly signed, on file and is verified with the system information located on the Fiserv system consistent with the final loan documents.



  • Loan Documentation Reviews conducted for:
    • All new loans originated.
    • Rate changes on existing loans.
    • Loan advances.
    • Loan maintenance changes.
    • Rate change.
    • Rate changes from agent banks.
    • All payments made for proper application.



  • Special Quality Controls for Legacy Loans:
    • Files contain flood determination, and flood policy if applicable.
    • Insurance secured loans contain an assignment of policy.
    • Review of legal documents.
    • Review of payment applications.
    • Tracking of missing documentation.
    • Verification that all UCC's are current.Collateral Management Report
    • Review and verification of information contained in the reports



Closings:

  • Verification of loan note and agreements, offering ticket, and all legal closing documents,
  • Review of processing documents, credit memorandum, and Fiserv servicing system.
  • Review of loan booking accounting amounts and legal closing disbursements



Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain an activity report for missing loan documents.
  • Monthly activity report of loan reviewed.
  • Daily reporting of the end of day general ledger balances.



Regulations:

  • Be conversant with the current Modern Bank Manuals
    • Code of Ethics,
    • IT policies,
    • Human Resources.
  • Maintain familiarity with credit polices of Modern Bank.
  • Maintain familiarity with Special Flood Hazard rules and regulations.



Maintain familiarity with Local, State, and Federal rules and regulations dealing with customer contact and annual disclosures.

The Successful Applicant

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Four year college degree,
  • Minimum of three years previous experience in loan servicing,
  • Computer literacy including Fiserv and Microsoft Office,
  • Knowledge of bank products and legal closing documents.
