Job Description

The Manufacturing Test Engineer will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and support of test procedures, tools, programs, and training on existing products. Responsible for the creation and/or production set-up of test procedures, tools, programs, and training for new products released for production.
  • Supports, maintains, and improves test procedures, tools, and programs on existing printed circuit boards, electro-mechanical assemblies, and final products.
  • Develops system for monitoring the performance of electrical test equipment and tools used in production to insure product quality and identify potential problems and improvements..
  • Participates with engineering in the creation of test programs to verify performance to specification of new assemblies, peripherals, and products. Responsible for the maintenance of production test programs upon release to production.
  • Participates in design reviews of printed circuit boards and electro-mechanical assemblies. Reviews design for complete specifications, testability, and test margin.
  • Develops diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair strategies for production testing of printed circuit boards and electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Interfaces with vendors to troubleshoot processes at vendor sites. Develop and coordinate rework activities with vendors.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Manufacturing Test Engineer will have the following experience and background:

Qualifications -

  • Must have excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of personal computer hardware and Windows based software required.



Education -

  • BS in Electrical Engineering



Experience -

  • 5 plus years of experience in Test Engineering
  • Prior medical device manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience related to electro/mechanical operation and control
  • Validation experience related to Test Fixture Hardware and Software
  • Knowledge related to High Voltage Design and Troubleshooting a plus
