Job Description

As the Materials Manager you will play an active role in managing roughly $500M in global spend. You will be responsible for the execution of supporting activities in the business including warehouse, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and RMA. You will expected to manage resource planning and development within the department, performance measured against cost/budgets, strategic objective performance and continuous improvement.

Other responsibilities include:-

  • Monitor procurement for national pricing / standardization and compliance to corporate guidelines
  • Manage material functions related to production control, master scheduling, purchasing, etc.
  • Issue RFQ/RFPs, perform quote analysis, supplier selection, and conduct market studies of your spend under management
  • Work closely with customers and other client sites to transition materials for new products
  • Assist operations by providing a consolidated view of requirements and excess
  • Analyze reports for variances from forecasted, budgeted, bench marked performance and provide recommendations
  • Work closely alongside internal groups, including engineering, quality and sales
  • Selects, develops and evaluate staff members to ensure optimal operation of materials

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • 7-10 years of materials related experience with a thorough understanding of capital equipment and the semi-conductor industry
  • Must have a working knowledge of operations and capital equipment for critical subsystems
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Understanding of finance fundamentals
