Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

Planning Support -

  • Procure raw materials for customer requirements
  • Negotiate price & delivery for all quotes & purchases
  • Manage raw material inventory
  • Work closely with sales and production for reschedules & expedites
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels for stock items and LTA's
  • Negotiate price & delivery for all quotes & purchases



Quality Support -

  • Serve as the quality contact for customers
  • Coordinate with required departments and resolve customer complaints & non-conformance issues; work out corrective actions and effectively communicate the same to customers
  • Understand different QA certifications and take leadership role in achievement and maintenance of QA certifications such as ISO-9001, AS9100 etc.
  • Implement and document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
  • Identify training needs and organize required training
  • Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
  • Assure compliance with customer and regulatory quality requirements



Manufacturing Support -

  • Transform customer requirements into innovative mechanical prototype development and fabrication, using CAD software
  • Work closely with manufacturing supervisors to define manufacturing methods, equipment, material and labor requirements, cost and workloads with a focus on resources utilization optimization
  • Develop evaluation and testing methods to ensure the process feasibility and product quality as per customer requirements
  • Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data to estimate future floor requirements and provide resources utilization optimization suggestions
  • Maintain product and process database, and blue prints

The Successful Applicant

The preferred candidate for the Mechanical Engineer will have the following experience and background:

  • BS, in Mechanical Engineering, Production Planning/Engineering or relevant field
  • Familiar with manufacturing environment and/or with assembly and machining processes (experience with ERP systems a plus)
  • 1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing plant for mechanical/ engineering products
  • Strong foundation of concepts in the related field of study
  • Logical problem solver who enjoys a fast-paced environment and working on a team
  • Excellent academic track record and demonstrable problem solving skills
