The department is responsible for all trade capture and confirmation of agency brokerage transactions. Further responsibilities include setting up: settlement instructions, client accounts, trade markets, commission schedules and allocation rules. The primary responsibilities of the department are to support the global sales and trading teams in Hong Kong, London, New York and the regional Asian financial centers. In addition to traditional contracting duties the Middle Office also fields trade and settlement related issues from international clients and works in liaison with the Settlements Departments around the globe to assist clients and resolve any problems.
The Successful Applicant
The Middle Office associate will have a financial, business or accountant degree. You will prove adept at mastering numerous technology applications, working under time pressure to resolve client-related trading issues, and effectively support front office personnel while assisting the settlement team in completing their trade processing activities. As a member of the Middle Office team you will help provide round-the-clock support to the global sales and trading teams in Hong Kong, Singapore, London, New York and the regional Asian financial centers. They must also have an out-going personality and be capable of developing the trust and respect of others. Be team oriented and be prepared to work closely with others in the best interests of the organization.
