About Our Client

Our client is a start-up, e-commerce/wholesale Fashion Company based in the UK. They have recently moved into brand new headquarters in NYC, and are looking for an ambitious, self-starter to join their team in the US. This will be a standalone role reporting back to the UK, and will allow the individual in the position to come up with innovative methods to expand the US business.

Job Description

Accounting:

  • Coordinating accountancy with external Accountant Company.
  • Managing all bookkeeping duties. Processing Debits and Credits.
  • Accounts Receivable, including billing. Collections, working with clients to ensure payment.
  • Full cycle Accounts Payable including matching and payments.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Reporting. Prepare timely, accurate and complete financial statements.
  • Budgeting. Highly involved in preparing and implementing yearly budget. Prepare following statements analyzing actual vs budgeted.

Operations:

  • Work with retailers to make sure they receive their goods on time and in the right condition.
  • Customer facing and attend trade shows
  • Track shipments and stock levels.
  • Prepare forecasts and inventories for reports to the company's management team.
  • Work closely to the logistics operators and Company Logistics department in to ensure compliance with legal import-export requirements.
  • Coordinate and monitor the operations process in the US closely to Logistic Department in the UK.
  • Work closely with the UK office, sales agents and 3rd party logistics.

HR:

  • Coordinating Payroll and Benefits Process.
  • Implementing and managing human resources operations.
  • Salary and headcount reporting.
  • High level independence in supporting a small office.
  • Provide the CFO assistance and coordination with any project in US.
  • Assistance to Fashion Shows production and organization.
  • Assistance to Commercial team.
  • Assistance to Sales and Press Showrooms.

 

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree is a must 
  • 2-6 years' experience only
  • Experience in the fashion industry is preferred
  • SAP experience desirable
  • Authorization to work in the US a must
  • Fashion follower
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Detail oriented and accuracy
  • Able to be in a stand-alone role
