Job Description

  • Oversee all facets of the daily operations of the Payroll Department, ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws, policies and regulations; ensure the accurate payment of and reporting in compliance with provisions of tax laws, federal and state regulations and company policy.
  • Coordinate the production of all weekly, biweekly, monthly, special compensation payrolls and oversee issuance of special checks.
  • Oversee the payroll staff, including work allocation, training and problem solving
  • Manage the development, implementation and administration of department records systems and procedures including payroll funding, time and attendance system, earnings and deduction codes
  • Manage customer service by researching and responding to Payroll related inquiries.
  • Oversee payroll systems maintenance and integrity; analyze operations, procedures and policies to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Ensure department confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Collaborate with other departments and business units related to projects such as mergers and acquisitions

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8 years of payroll related experience
  • 3 years at a management level in mid-size to large corporate environment
