About Our Client

Non-profit health care organization with 16 health centers throughout 11 counties in NJ.

Job Description

  • Processes bi-weekly payroll and associated tasks, such as, prepares all payroll related journal entries, expenses and accruals for payroll, group health, taxes, workers compensation and 401(k)
  • Reviews and ensures accuracy of approved electronic time cards..
  • Prepares and submits all tax required reporting, including but not limited to Federal payroll summaries, W-2's, wage and hour law compliance.
  • Interface with external partners, such as, ADP, Auditing firms and consultants to ensure compliance.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience:

  • Highly organized with excellent communication and follow up skills
  • Primary responsibilities; include but not limited to:
    • Prepares all payroll related account analysis
    • Provides clear communications with all members of the agency regarding payroll related items
    • Processes timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll
    • Follow up with staff accountants/department managers for expense coding clarification when unsure of codes on invoices
    • Provide requested reports, i.e., audits, contributions, payroll and General Ledger Transactions
  • Experience contributing to team by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to workplace values of respect, caring, support, effective communication, teamwork & collaboration, accountability and responsibility; practice these values in relation with internal and external customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in support of the mission and as required.

The ideal candidate will posses the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent with Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in payroll processing procedures. Associate's degree in accounting preferred but not required
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel. Preferably experienced with ADP.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with excellent communication and follow up skills.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
