Job Description

The Procurement Manager will:

  • Conduct market research on vendor qualifications as well as possible new sources and bid lists
  • Manage execution of vendor NDA's.
  • Review the details for purchasing requirements.
  • Create draft bills of materials and scopes of work.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs
  • Support creation of Requests for Proposal and Invitations to Bid
  • Ensure correct specifications, quantities, project schedules, delivery dates, and contract terms.
  • Support vendor bid negotiations of price and terms for assigned categories.
  • Prepare and submit bid tabulations supporting recommendation to award selected suppliers/vendors.
  • Assist with the creation and issuance of master agreements and project PO's.
  • Analyze project purchasing schedules and identify delivery risks.
  • Provide product technical support to project staff during design and construction.
  • Review final product submittals for completeness and compliance.
  • Ensure any materials damaged during delivery are returned and redelivered to project location.
  • Provide management and oversight to ensure field operations and delivery requirements are documented and achieved.
  • Receive and review all Warranty certificates for compliance and manage all warranty claims.
  • Manage insurance claims of damaged materials.
  • Manage vendor compliance.
  • Review, redline and approve all vendor invoices for payment.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for Procurement Manager will have:

  • Experience in architecture, interior design, construction, FF&E purchasing, and supply chain management
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and purchasing agreements, managing RFP processes, estimating, and scheduling.
  • Strong strategic planning and risk management abilities.
  • Capable of creating and updating financial models with Microsoft Excel.
  • Adept at meeting deadlines and cool and collected under pressure.
  • Superior communication skills irrespective of audience's level of management
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3-5 years of architectural, interior design, engineering or construction management training
