Job Description

The Production Planning & Materials Manager will be responsible to focus on the timely and quality execution of the multi- brand product launches as well as replenishment orders. This position will orchestrate cross functionally with Marketing Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Logistics and Inventory internally, as well as the various 3rd party contract manufacturers with a sense of urgency and attention to detail which ensures client expectations are met.

  • Responsible for overseeing and managing the on time client launches and orders from a planning and production standpoint by securing component delivery and production line time at our 3rd party manufacturers.
  • Generating and analyzing Material Requirements Planning Reports based off of finished goods forecast and taking the appropriate actions to track to on time deliveries based on that analysis, while maintaining appropriate inventory levels based on Minimum Order Quantities and Lead Times.
  • Maintaining Purchase Orders for quantity, timing, location and price and necessary changes are required.
  • Work in conjunction with Package Development to ensure Bills of Material are accurate and updated.
  • Communicate with local and overseas 3rd Party Manufacturers to ensure their awareness of all company packaging, quality and shipping expectations.
  • Works with Marketing Operations to obtain Launch Project Timetables from onset of approved projects, being responsible to monitor project supply chain milestones throughout the development and production process to ensure on time delivery of new product launches.
  • Work with Packaging, Quality and Purchasing to develop a report card system to evaluate vendor performance which utilizes appropriate measures to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service meet performance requirements.
  • Manage the schedules to 3rd Party Manufacturing Purchase Orders and maintain weekly status updates with contract manufacturers to review upcoming requirements for batching and filling, ensuring that production schedules support client ship dates.
  • Lead monthly forecast meetings in collaboration with Purchasing, Packaging, Marketing Operations and Senior Management.
  • Support the Quality Control department in dealing with product and component issues. Track any reworked components to ensure inventory is adjusted and accounted for by coordinating rework procedures at the manufacturing facility.
  • Work with the Inventory Department in analyzing monthly inventory liability reports.
  • Take on special development projects and Ad Hoc Reporting, as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain.
  • Experience within the consumer products, beauty, luxury, cosmetics or fragrance industry preferred
  • 3rd party manufacturers and distributors.
  • Must possess attention to detail, have an open mind and the ability to work under pressure/ exceed ever-changing deadlines
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skill
  • Travel approximately 5% locally
