About Our Client
Our client is a leading specialty construction firm focused exclusively on athletics fields. They operate primarily within New England but currently have a strong presence in the Mid-Atlantic region. This company works with municipalities, universities, private schools, and professional sports teams to provide them with first-in-class turf field installation and maintenance.
The Project Manager will play a key role in construction project management and planning for several projects. This will include preparing, disseminating and analyzing bid packages to insure their quality, completeness and comparative value. In this role you will also maintain project progress information, ensure projects are on schedule, within budget, safe and secure, and prepare cost data for project control analysis and reporting.
Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 5 years experience in the construction industry or 3-5 years experience in the construction industry with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management. Our ideal candidate is knowledgeable in all areas of construction from site development through delivery and acceptance. Redevelopment experience is preferred. Computer literacy is required and a four year degree is preferred.
The Successful Applicant
Although this particular company does not engage in building construction, they are open to hiring someone coming out of a building construction background. That said, if you are coming out of a building construction background, you should be very familiar with sitework, excavation, and underground utility construction. If you are currently working for a subcontractor that is focused on excavation, site work, and/or utility construction, you should strongly consider applying to this position.
