About Our Client

My client specializes in custom plastic part manufacturing, die casting, injection molding, and part assembly services. In addition to automotive and appliance manufacturers, this organization services the medical, electronics, recreational, instrumentation, and HVAC industries, with multiple sites around the world.

Job Description

  • Aid in the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects
  • Maintain accuracy of PPAP files, including Master Samples and Visual Acceptance Standards
  • Contribute to the metrology department in the development of inspection and testing of equipment
  • Develop and approve supplier PPAP and associated documentation
  • Identify and resolve product manufacturability/quality issues from Safe Launch results
  • Manage the Safe Launch / Early Containment process and related new product launch activities
  • Conduct internal audits
  • Use statistical techniques to develop and implement process control systems with suppliers
  • Monitor and analyze key supplier metrics
  • Travel up to 20%

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing environment, plastics background preferred
  • Experience with transfer printing, laser etching, or electroplated plastic products
  • Quality Management Systems experience - ISO 9001 or ISO/TS16949
