Job Description

As a Recruitment Consultant you will be trained to become responsible for all steps of the sales and recruitment process including identification and management of potential candidates, client relationship management and business development. You will be responsible for conducting in-person interviews with candidates and on-site client meetings with a view to developing your own, and Michael Page's, reputation.

Specific responsibilities of a recruitment consultant include:

  • Providing market knowledge and advice to employers
  • Sourcing suitable candidates via networking, advertising and referrals
  • Maintaining candidate networks
  • Providing resume, interview and career advice to candidates
  • Interviewing candidates on a general basis and for specific roles
  • Managing the job offer process and negotiating salary packages
  • Maintaining market and commercial awareness through research and networking
  • Working as part of a team to maximize Michael Page's commercial performance
  • Developing and managing ongoing client relationships - both on the phone and face to face

The Successful Applicant

The Successful Applicant:

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree is mandatory
  • Sales or recruiting experience is preferred but not necessary
  • Be coachable, open to feedback, and be dedicated to consistent self improvement
  • Have demonstrated sales aptitude, with relentlessly high standards (you're never satisfied with being average)
  • Be assertive, persistent, a good listener, and persuasive
  • Be a great "people person" and possess an infectious energy that will influence your team
  • Adapt to new situations by thinking creatively and facing challenges head on
