About Our Client

Our client for the Regional Account Manager is a top 3 earning subsidiary of a $7.5 billion global manufacturer. This specific division provides industrial equipment for the packaging space within Food & Bev and Pharmaceutical markets.

Job Description

The Regional Account Manager will be responsible for continued growth and expansion of specific large and complex accounts in key markets within the Midwest region. This individual will develop and execute strategies and sales goals based on the company's long and short term goals and objectives. This role will require a strong sales background but also technical experience, preferably within the packaging industry. The markets this individual will be selling into include mainly Food & Bev and Pharmaceuticals, so experience within this fields is a plus.

  • Conduct needs analysis to uncover customer needs and requirements for solutions
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the strategic sales objectives
  • Lead customer presentations, product demonstrations and work with decision makers on product selection
  • Attend Marketing events, including trade shows
  • Meet/Exceed assigned quarterly and yearly regional sales target
  • To increase revenue and margin level for the territory
  • Execute market and segment growth strategy
  • Implement project and opportunity forecasting
  • Provide information and intelligence for new products and solutions
  • Provide customer and channel relationship management

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering
  • Proven track record of sales success
  • 2-5 years of experience in selling capital equipment and/or packaging
  • Excellent communication and present skills to large and small groups
  • Organizational, presentation and time management skills
  • High sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Trustworthy and strong ethics
  • Availability to travel 25 - 50 percent or more across assigned territory
