About Our Client

Our client for the Regional Sales Manager opportunity is one of North America's leading manufacturers of metal components for a number of industries, primarily automotive and trucking, medical devices, lighting and electrical, agriculture, and aerospace. Located in Wisconsin, this $100 million dollar division has been rapidly expanding over the recent years. Due to this growth, the company is need of a strong technical sales individual with a background in engineering, coupled with a strong sales personality.

Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager will be selling at the plant level executing strategic sales initiatives managing a current customer base and also seeking out new business opportunities primarily with automotive OEM and Tier 1 and 2 customers. This person will work from a home office in the Milwaukee, WI area and travel nationally 20-25% to visit customers to uncover manufacturing needs.

  • Conduct needs analysis to uncover customer needs and requirements for solutions
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the strategic sales objectives for the plant
  • Provide routine updates on key issues to the Strategic Account Manager, Director of Sales and/or VP of Sales
  • Lead customer RFQ process and provide technical input
  • Work cross-functionally with project teams
  • Lead customer presentations, product demonstrations and work with decision makers on product selection
  • Attend Marketing events, including trade shows
  • Keep track of sales activity in SalesForce CRM system
  • Conduct pricing and technical information and perform customer follow up communication

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Required)
  • Must have high technical aptitude and able to speak knowledgeably on technical applications
  • 2-5 years of automotive sales and/or application engineering experience
  • Excellent communication and present skills to large and small groups
  • High sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Microsoft Suite knowledge
  • SalesForce CRM is a plus
  • Strong math and problem solving skills
  • Trustworthy and strong ethics
  • Ability to travel up to 25% - nationally
