Job Description

The client is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to drive direct sales with a focus on supporting channel partners within the region. This position will be responsible for increasing the clients market penetration to exceed quarterly booking targets. The ideal Regional Sales Manager demonstrates experience in building executive relationships with multiple named accounts. * Develop and execute the direct sales strategies for named accounts in alignment with the company strategy. * Manage business forecasting (monthly forecast, weekly commit, and pipeline development) * Manage complex sales situation and large projects, including lead qualification, opportunity development, deal negotiation, closing, and product turn up. * Build customer relationships to attain business goals and ensure customer satisfaction. * Identify and develop relationships with channel partners that would be a good fit for the clients solutions. * Work closely with the engineering team in creating integrated solutions that address complex problems and continually update solution positioning/messaging based on customer feedback and interaction. * Present at industry events/trade shows.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications: * 5 or more years of Account Management experience in a fast-growing, high-technology industry. * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business or equivalent. * Experience with selling in technology and networking industries * Knowledge of LAN and/or WAN networks is preferred * Experience in selling Voice, Wireless, Storage, Security and Optical networking products. * Ability to sell within traditional It and non-IT hierarchy * Excellent relationship building and creative consultative selling skills. * Must be able to engage and manage cross-functional/virtual resources as part of an extended team. * Strong verbal and presentation skills, including extensive experience leveraging Web ex. * Understanding of large business organizations and their buying cycles is preferred. * Able to travel approximately 40% of the time.
