Job Description

A Relationship/Service Officer will:

  • Collect appropriate documentation and gather source of wealth information for new and existing clients


  • Conduct due diligence and Know Your Customer (KYC) research for clients.


  • Maximize the client experience by summarizing the KYC process and efficiently minimizing the touch points between the client and the bank.


  • Customize documentation for the client's review and signature, understanding how the client type, client risk, and product type play a role in preparation.


  • Understand the required documentation requirements across all entity types, with specific focus on complex corporate structures.


  • Review negative media alerts from client screening and escalate where necessary.


  • Prepare appropriate documentation for execution and coordinate process flow by partnering with internal business units.


  • Provide superior service to Domestic Private Banking clients in a professional manner and ensure a personalized client experience each and every time.


  • Properly manage client's expectations when communicating and responding to processing requests, issues, voicemails and emails.


  • Act on client instructions, inquiries, requests, and issues in a timely fashion and facilitate the processing of transactions in an accurate manner to help maintain client relationships.


  • Prepare appropriate documentation for transaction execution and coordinate the process flow by partnering with internal business units.


  • Work with other areas within the bank as required, to serve our clients and resolve any potential issues and problems efficiently.


  • Monitor client's daily transactions to ensure alignment with expected activity.


  • Input client orders and/or instructions within appropriate systems and complete associated paperwork.


  • Inform Private Banker of potential issues, possible fraud or unexpected activity that is not in line with client's standard instructions.


  • Inform Banking Team of potential issues, possible fraud or unexpected client activity.


  • When appropriate, accompany Private Bankers on client calls and provide information regarding service, operations, products, and technology platforms.


  • Leverage various communication channels to keep in touch with clients.


  • Assist in the preparation of client reports and other materials for client meetings.


  • Assist with on-boarding and training of new members of the team.


  • Input orders within appropriate systems and complete associated paperwork.


  • Support and drive the firm's initiatives and maintain risk awareness and regulatory knowledge.

The Successful Applicant

A Relationship/Service Officer will have:



  • A B.A. or B.S.


  • Two years proven Private Banking / Know Your Customer (KYC) / Customer service experience or equivalent. (Preferred)


  • Series 7 & 66. (Preferred)


  • Client Focus.


  • Clear Written and Verbal Skills.

  • Proven customer service, mathematical, organizational, and planning skills.
