Key Responsibilities

Product Selling

  • Strategic market planning for selling of products (short term/long term)
  • Sell products to comply with the company's sales goals and profitability, i.e. Revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow.
  • Identifies current and future customer product requirements by establishing personal rapport with customers and to understand the market and their requirements.
  • Establishes new accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales calls & meetings
  • Increase revenue base through maintenance and expansion of sales with existing product and customers and through expansion into new applications and new customers
  • Recommends changes in products, service, evaluating results and competitive developments.

General Tasks

  • Research and Analysis
  • Articulate market requirements and opportunities
  • Identify key competitor and consumer trends
  • Recognize opportunities that produce greatest value, increased profitability, market share and growth opportunities

  • Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other
  • Create and present presentations at trade shows and during customer visits
  • Persuading clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs

Customer Focus

  • Customer communication. Own the entire customer relationship/health of the account.
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; making recommendations to management.


  • Follow all written procedures for (Order Entry, Estimates, Adding Sales Contact, Adding Shipping Method, Lead Times, Shipping, Tracking, and Sales Responsibility in a Production Meeting)
  • Calculating client quotations in Syteline database and administering client accounts
  • Review and enter new orders using Syteline working with Contracts Manager to ensure terms and conditions of the order accurate and fulfilled
  • Process routine customer inquiries such as complaints, deliveries, terms, order changes, and other service related matters
  • Process orders to completion to insure on time deliveries
  • Comply with the Phase review process by adhering to the required initial phase Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. .
  • Organize Monthly Sales forecasts to be shared with CEO and Management Team for scheduled monthly sales meetings
  • Work closely with Hoffman sales reps as technical and product resource
  • Create and maintain detailed trip reports that are to be shared with your Manager Other tasks/responsibilities deemed necessary for the success of the company

The Successful Applicant

Job Requirements and Qualifications


  • Bachelor of Science preferred or 5 plus years equivalent technical sales experience in this market.

Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): Not applicable


  • Technical Sales in the commercial, ground vehicle or aerospace lighting market a plus. Prefer a technical or engineering background with products that are not commodity based.

Knowledge Requirements

  • Relevant qualification/experience.
  • Extensive business development and sales experience preferably from a technical background in a related field
  • Proficient with MS Office Experience
