Job Description

  • Maintain customer price lists for multiple channels including ecommerce, distribution, direct and international.
  • Conduct quarterly price audits to ensure price accuracy and maintenance.
  • Maintain item spec sheets to ensure accuracy and transparency for the sales department.
  • Provide sales support for any sales deal arrangements by tracking and inputting all promotional deals that are not on promo calendar.
  • Provide support to Distribution Sales Manager with customers to ensure accuracy and compliance of monthly sales and POS data.
  • Manage setup of new accounts and the submission of new item forms.
  • Collaborate with Distribution Sales Manager and Regional Sales Managers on forecasting by retailer and DC providing support and updating forecasts on a monthly basis.
  • Track and create cases pertaining to inbound and outbound freight to provide analytic data and information on the impact of shipping errors, late shipments, short dated product etc.
  • Provide support to work with distributor to optimize stock levels and upkeep of inventory to alleviate the occurrences of excess or short-dated inventory.
  • Work with accounting team to review, validate and resolve all deductions, returns and inventory issues.
  • Manage and update "Stock Update" sheet on Soonr for weekly reporting to provide sales support to communicate out of stocks and projected ETA for when stock will be available.
  • Provide support in creating SOP's under the management of Distribution Sales Manager for multiple aspects of the sales operational process.
  • Supporting sales, operations, receiving and warehousing on all special/non-recurring customer returns ensuring timely organization before and after stock arrives recording and counting case quantities, lot numbers and expiration dates to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate and execute distributor table-top shows, including necessary paperwork, discounts staffing.
  • Participate in the budgeting process, as requested.
  • Work with management to undertake special projects as required.
  • Identify and address any sales operation process for optimization opportunities, coordinating with IT and management, as required.
  • Provide support for the implementation and updating of any and all production

The Successful Applicant

  • Sales support and/or customer service experience is required.
  • Consumer packaged goods or food industry experiences preferred.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work as a hands-on team player who can also operate independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as reports and correspondence. Ability to write general correspondence. Ability to speak effectively on the telephone to customers of organization.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must be organized and have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office required; specifically, Outlook, Word and Excel; PowerPoint as needed. Experience with web-based programs and NetSuite or other similar ERP systems.
  • Must be able to meet communicated schedules and deadline.
  • Self-confident, collaborative, knowledgeable and an analytical thinker. Must demonstrate good judgment and the ability to take action as appropriate. Ability to handle daily work details accurately, as other projects, and dive-in and learn the business.
