Job Description

Primary duties of a Sanctions Screening Analyst:

  • Review, approve and, when appropriate, escalate cases generated through daily screening of the firm's transactions, customer, product and other data against relevant government sanctions lists to ensure compliance with applicable sanctions programs.
  • Use investigation techniques independently to resolve possible sanction issues.
  • Adhere to the Government Sanctions Group's established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure deadlines and record-keeping obligations established by management are met.
  • Miscellaneous responsibilities as required.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications of a Sanctions Screening Analyst:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Exposure to Fircosoft products highly desirable
  • Exposure to Thomson Reuters products
  • Aptitude for learning new systems and applications
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and organized
  • Experience related to OFAC and HMT compliance or in the securities and/or banking industry is highly desirable
