Job Description

A critical factor of this company's success is its risk department.

The Senior Associate will:

  • Support the planning and implementation of several risk programs.
  • Monitor adherence with these programs standards across the enterprise and ensure proper classification of reporting through different stages
  • Define requirements, support the testing and implementation of enhancements for the Programs
  • Support the development and reporting of program level key risk and key performance indicators and dashboard
  • Familiar with risk regulatory requirements, Enterprise Risk Framework and other relevant policies of the organization
  • Recommend program and process improvements as needed to address user concerns, regulatory needs or enterprise needs

The Successful Applicant

Our client is seeking a Senior Operational Risk Associate with the following background in financial services:

  • BS/BA Degree
  • 3-5 years of operational risk management experience or broader risk management experience
  • Familiarity with Operational Risk Management and related concepts
  • Project management discipline and ability to oversee multiple projects to completion
  • Experience defining/documenting business processes and functions
  • Ability to think critically, comprehend detailed business and risk concepts
  • Well-developed listening skills with the ability to summarize key points and provide feedback
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with all levels of the business
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Prior experience supporting risk or compliance processes or functions
  • Knowledge of Operational Risk Best Practices and Project Management
