Our client is one of the largest Real Estate and Property organizations in America and are looking to grow their compliance function due to continued success.

Job Description

Senior Compliance Manager:


  • 421a, J51 and other tax abatement programs,
  • HUD affordable housing program regulations, maximization of rent increases, approval of tenant selection plans, REAC and MOR requirements
  • Section 42 Tax-Credit affordable housing programs
  • Bond programs,
  • All lease documentation associated with above
  • Management agreement forms, max allowable fees, and renewals
  • Investor and lender reporting and operational obligations including annual budgets, financial reporting and CDA's
  • Environmental risk O&M plans and staff certification requirements
  • Sub-metering and utility billing state and local laws
  • Building requirements including violation status and timely removal where data sets are evident i.e. NYC, oil tank registrations, scaffolding licenses, window guards etc
  • All applicable Fair Housing, Sec. 504/ADA, and Human Rights statutes.
  • Regulatory agency, investor and lender operational and reporting requirements


  • Consistently pursue and maintain current, comprehensive knowledge of full scope of compliance programs with which the company must comply in its administration and operation of the sites/properties in its portfolio.
  • Implement and maintain procedures and policies for gathering information on all areas of compliance consistently, regularly, and comprehensively.
  • Maintain and report on comprehensive information to communicate the status of compliance with critical programs to managers, directors, executives and others with a need to know.
  • Assure timely, effective distribution of comprehensive, accurate compliance guidelines and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Senior Compliance Manager shall have experience in the following:

  • Strong data management skills with significant attention to detail
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and abstract regulatory agreements, etc. - some experience with government or housing regulations (preferred but not required)
  • Effective communication skills; ability to interface effectively and professionally with executives, owners, asset managers, agency representatives and department staff.
  • Strong Computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.

What's on Offer

For the right candidate our client would be offering a salary between $75,000 and $85,000 + a comprehensive benefits package.
