About Our Client

Growing agency with expansion in its future is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to report into the company's New York City office.

Job Description

  • Own and manage day to day finance process, including journal entry preparation, related analysis and account reconciliations of balance sheet, revenue and expense accounts for 3 operating units
  • Responsible for timely and accurate month end close
  • Preparation and maintenance of account reconciliations, both balance sheet and P&L, with resolution of all reconciling items
  • Complete balance sheet and P&L variance narratives on necessary accounts on a monthly basis
  • Provides necessary reporting and analysis to holding company in London
  • Preparation and maintenance of fixed asset schedules and monthly depreciation
  • Review and scrutinize contracts, both client and vendor, to ensure accuracy and ensure best practices are followed
  • Provide analytical support to show profitability trends
  • Partner with specific Studios and Events departments to accurately prepare monthly financial statements
  • Monitor 2 direct reports to ensure A/R, AP, filing monthly and quarterly taxes, bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and other items are filed and reported properly and timely
  • Reports directly to New York Head of Finance

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Senior Finance Manager will have:



ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, CPA a plus

· 5+ years' progressive Accounting experience, preferably in the Studios/Events industry

· Strong P&L and Balance Sheet knowledge

· Experience with Microsoft AX a plus

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills



DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be willing to work and have authorization to work in the US

· Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (advanced knowledge of Excel preferred)

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

· Proficient communication and interpersonal skills with all levels and departments
