Job Description

Accountability:
* The role's critical deliverables are providing advanced financial analysis in support of effective economic and transfer pricing strategies, and applying and implementing GSK's transfer pricing policies and practices throughout the Territory.
* Use financial data extracted from GSK systems, forecasts, and external databases, etc., to develop financial models and analysis used in decision making for business development arrangements, tax audit responses, and transfer pricing documentation.
* Build relationships with market, area, and head office staff to understand the value drivers, financial results and forecasts, sources, and uses of information that may be relevant in assessing transfer pricing policies and keep up to date with changes as they occur. Work effectively with external advisors.
* Support the implementation of limited risk distribution arrangements.
* Participate in ad-hoc projects (e.g. business development).
* Support US and UK staff with financial analysts, sharing best practices and ensuring consistency.
* Assume day to day responsibility for setting transfer prices in the Territory in line with agreed GSK policies.
* Administer transfer price budget process and ensure compliance with deadlines.
* Participate in the preparation of contemporaneous documentation studies in accordance with tax regulations or guidelines.
Complexity:
* Model and confirm internal and external business valuations.
* Assist with and provide economic, functional and financial analysis to enable:
 identification, implementation and documentation of appropriate transfer pricing structures,
 compliance with local transfer pricing documentation requirements in conjunction with local entity finance directors, and
 support of GSK's transfer pricing defense strategies under audit and implications of alternative settlement scenarios.
* Monitor the effect of transfer pricing policies, support and undertake reviews of local financial performance and propose solutions to entity finance issues.
* Support defense of transfer pricing policies under audit by extracting and summarizing data and analyzing alternative solutions.
* Understand value drivers and risk level of business opportunities or strategies.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and change.

The Successful Applicant

Basic qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
* 3+ years of experience in analytical role
* Advanced economic modeling and Excel skills
* Experience in using Bison and JDE
* Flexible thinking
* Confidence and independence to challenge and make a difference
* Excellent communication skills

Preferred qualifications:
* Masters Degree in Business or CPA
Experience in a Big 4 Accounting firm preferrable
* Understanding of GSK legal entity vs. management structure within financial reporting systems
* Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with strong customer focus and the capability to influence at different levels in the organization
* Ability to manage multiple priorities with a commitment to delivering on-time and quality results
* Fluency in Spanish language preferred
