About Our Client
Our client is a global, multi-billion dollar, publicly traded biotech organization based in Westchester County New York. This year we have been ranked as one of the top 50 most innovative companies in the world. They have been experiencing exponential growth in the last 5+ years and headcount is projected to double in the next 5 years.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wages and hour laws. * Responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and related activities. * Resolve questions and concerns related to payroll, by answering employee inquiries and enforcing payroll policies. * Provide back-up support for other members of the team, as needed. * Respond to special requests from regulatory agencies. * Work with HR to processes payroll for employees on a leave of absence. * Responsible for the accurate and timely input of payroll data that is provided by various business units. * Assist with testing related to payroll activities for patches, projects, etc. * Responsible for the collection of timecard data and the reporting of missing timecards. * Responsible for the preparation and monitoring of off-cycle payroll runs. * Accept garnishments, child support orders, and state and federal tax levies and enter into Oracle Payroll as described on the legal document.
The Successful Applicant
* Bachelors Degree required * Minimum of 3-5 years payroll processing experience required. * CPP or FPC preferred. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. * Ability to analysis data related to payroll, timecards, and costing (general ledger). * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. * Ability to work interactively in a fast paced team environment. * Self-motivated, team player. * Knowledge of in-house payroll processing and time and labor reporting within an enterprise system. i.e. Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft
