Our client, a growing financial services institution, is located in southern Fairfield County. With recent success and acquisitions of additional competitors, our client is actively hiring for top talent. The firm oversees a number of complementary open-architecture mutual funds subadvised by unaffiliated investment managers.

Our client is a wholly owned firm that has been in the industry for over 20 years.

Job Description

Manage the day-to-day oversight of the Transfer Agent and supervision for the shareholder services team at the firm. Provide timely and accurate shareholder and financial information pertaining to all of the funds, including the use of analytics and measures, while maintaining the firm's zero tolerance for errors. Act as the primary contact person for escalation of any transfer agent issues. Coordinate the delivery of services and manage all projects related to the Transfer Agent. This includes conversions, fund launches, fund closures, etc.

  • Act as the Transfer Agent Liaison on a daily basis. Point person for call or Issue escalation
  • Produce and disseminates internal and external reports as required
  • Oversee incoming shareholder communications via phone, mail or email.
  • Oversee and assist with large trade tracking and dissemination of such information internally and to subadvisors.
  • Respond to requests for fund shareholder data via the custodian report writing system, DRAS.
  • Review year end 1099 tax statements
  • Assist with managing and overseeing the ManagersChoice asset allocation program
  • Monitor Prospectus and SAI and compliance for shareholder related items
  • Work with Compliance and the Fund Treasurer to handle requests for waivers and exceptions
  • Monitor gains/losses in the funds due to as of trade activity
  • Review and approve monthly Transfer Agent invoices

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • Ten + years of relevant experience in the Mutual fund industry.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Series 6/7/63/24 or 26 preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of the mutual fund industry as it related to the function of the Transfer Agent
  • Detail oriented.
  • Prioritizes plans and takes initiative.
  • Demonstrates problem solving abilities and includes the appropriate people in the decision making process with regards to account exceptions and errors.
  • Supports Company values and treats others with respect and consideration.
  • Communicates effectively with colleagues and service providers.
  • Works productively in a team environment.
  • Excels in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and executing responsibilities with minimal errors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, e.g., pivot tables), able to learn and use other programs and systems including BNY Systems such as DRAS, FSR, IMAGE and SurPas
