Our client is aggressively seeking to capture a larger piece of the Silicon market in North America, and needs the help of experienced sales professionals to do so! The Silicon Sales Manager is responsible for growing a provided book of business as well as secure and develop new clients. The selected individual will be given every necessary resource to ensure their success, ranging from technical training to a company car. The North American Sales Manager will have a strong technical background selling highly technical products and materials.

Job Description

  • Grow North American market share by targeting Aluminum and Ceramic manufacturers
  • Fillers, Plasma spraying, Brazing, Pyro technical applications, Batteries, 3-D Printers
  • Silicon for ceramic industry (Diesel particulate filters, brake discs, kiln furniture, heating elements, body armor,
  • crucibles, jet engines, Catalyst support, etc)
  • Grow provided book of business and develop new relationships
  • Responsible for Profit/Loss of personal portfolio
  • Ability to work cohesively with the global sales & marketing organization
  • Avoid and handle claims with accounts, contract negotiations.
  • Develop business strategy for market segments within North America, and also giving strategic input in global strategy
  • Support Product and Application portfolio development
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Ceramics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Plastics, or Polymers
  • Must have experience selling silicon to Advanced Ceramic manufacturers
  • 5+ years sales experience, preferably in an international environment
  • Ability to thrive in a home-office
  • Hunter's mentality
  • Strong presentations and organizational skills
  • Efficient with Microsoft suite
