My client is a global, publicly traded provider of supply chain solutions.

Job Description

  • Responsible for ensuring site meets or exceeds performance requirements in the areas of safety, cost control, quality, processing standards, flexibility, reliability, customer service and execution to plan.
  • Manage and develop the team toward individual growth and performance excellence and conduct performance reviews.
  • Continually analyze work processes to identify optimization opportunities and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a highly motivated team and positive work culture that is successful and committed to superior customer service.
  • Review analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine site progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Ensure all SOP's are adhered to and clearly understood to ensure the site achieves and maintains a high level of inventory accuracy and shortage control.
  • Ensure consistent, thorough and timely communication to subordinates, peers and senior management.
  • Ability for effective decision making in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to stay ahead of the curve by finding new ways to satisfy customers.
  • Detailed understanding of Six Sigma process improvement methodology.
  • Comply with standards including, but not limited to, ISO 9001, 1400, 13485 (QMS, EMS)

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Distribution, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field, or experience equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years' senior operations management experience in a high volume distribution environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven project management skills and experience.
  • Experienced in SAP and WMS
  • Experience supporting world-class quality and continuous improvement including the application of lean manufacturing and Lean sigma techniques.
  • Knowledge of financial and production/warehouse systems.
  • Experience with full P&L responsibility, detailed understanding of operational financials
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Customer-focused with excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence others through effective communications and positive relationship building.
