About Our Client

Our client is a global food business (restaurant/food service chain) with multiple locations worldwide, looking for their next Sr. Supply Chain Manager, Global Strategic Sourcing.

As an integral member of the team, this individual will be responsible for providing supply chain & category expertise, and developing supply chain strategies, work effectively within a matrix organization, coordinate with Supply Chain Leadership and functional leads to ensure resource availability and establish transition planning procedures to ensure mission success.

Job Description

  • Leading Supply Chain efforts in, including sourcing and teaming strategies, supplier management, pricing strategies, negotiation and execution of agreements, business plans, pricing and costing of cost of goods sold for ingredients and services, material program plans, and bidding/managing the end to end supply chain
  • Providing strategic advice to the organization for Make/Self-Perform versus Buy decision making
  • Identification of risk and opportunities related to supply chain and associated contingency plans and mitigation strategies
  • Delivering Supply Chain subject matter expertise in response to customer-focused marketing solution development and representing the Supply Chain function to the Business
  • Assess and develop Supplier capabilities to create opportunities that align with R&D strategies
  • Identify, develop and implement supplier key performance indicators
  • Manage supplier relationships, business reviews and supplier scorecards to ensure the right partnerships are in place that align with company goals and culture
  • Writing Supply Chain proposal content for management, cost, and past performance volumes for categories that include packaging, finished goods, supplies and retail merchandise
  • Participating in strategy sessions as the primary Supply Chain functional Advisor
  • Identifying, recommending, developing and implanting tools and enhancements to supply chain systems and processes to improve Supply Chain efficiency, new product and item event management, and distributor performance

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Finance or related field, MBA or MS preferred
  • 5 -10 years related experience preferably in multiple aspects of Supply Chain, or Program Management, or some portion in the food service industry
  • Must Have: Experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods, Food-service or related industry
  • Experience leading supply chain proposal activities including sourcing and teaming strategies, negotiation and execution of teaming agreements, small business plans, supply chain strategies, pricing and costing of supply chain
  • Experience in the deployment and use off ERP systems
