My client is a leading chemical company that distributes their product inside and outside of the US.

Job Description

My client is looking for a Supervisor, Customer Service to manage the Customer Service group responsible for Import / Export documentation, compliance, and logistic support, 3 PL's, order processing and Customer Service for the distribution of products within the Americas Region for the Chemicals.

Other responsibilities include:-

  • Responsible for overall, strategic leadership for the Customer Service teams and focuses on developing and implementing our long term vision and strategy as we continue to help drive profitable growth
  • Responsible for rail-car fleet including rail-car maintenance schedule development and maintenance coordination - ensure HM201 inspections and repairs are completed on-time.
  • Specific Knowledge: Knowledge of customer service best practices, good communications skills (written and verbal), inventory management skills and knowledge of SAP.

The Successful Applicant


  • University degree, preferably in Economics, Maritime or Supply Chain.
  • Understanding of end-to-end global supply chain planning and execution processes
  • Six Sigma training
  • 7+years of experience in supply chain, imports/exports, compliance, customer service, commercial or related field
  • International trade expertise
  • Management experience
