About Our Client

My client is a growing natural foods production company located in Los Angeles, CA. Founded by two entrepreneurs 18 years ago with the vision of transforming the snacks industry and providing healthier, more sustainable alternatives. In a short amount of time, my client has grown its distribution throughout the Southwestern United States, and is preparing for nationwide expansion as it partners with larger distributors and retailers.

Job Description

  • Lead all aspects of supply chain projects including procurement, production / supply planning, logistics, and demand planning
  • Prepare necessary reports and documents, lead meetings with relevant stakeholders
  • Procurement: Source and evaluate vendors, negotiate costs
  • Quality: Ensure highest quality of raw materials
  • Production Planning: Ensure proper levels of raw material inventory
  • Logistics: Manage the network of 3PL as well as the company's own 40,000 square foot warehouse
  • Demand Forecasts: Work with the sales and marketing teams to understand demand drivers and create accurate forecasts
  • Manage 1 Buyer 1 Planner, and 1 Warehouse Supervisor to support Supply Chain activities

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four year university
  • 4+ years of relevant supply chain experience (food and beverage or consumer goods experience a plus)
  • Strong PC skills especially with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
