Job Description

The Tax Specialist responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing annual federal and state fiduciary, agency, and individual income tax returns
  • Preparing quarterly federal and state fiduciary and individual estimated tax payments
  • Preparing estate, gift, and tax-exempt organization returns
  • Developing professional relationships with clients and provides insight into their specific tax conditions
  • Performing tax research
  • Analyzing tax record for exchanges, mergers, and amortizations of bonds

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Tax Specialist position would have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with an advanced degree in finance, accounting, or tax preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Tax Accountant
  • Ability to administer and maintain tax software application systems required - proficiency with CCH ProSystem FC and OneSource Trust Tax preferred (please highlight in your resume if you have worked with these applications systems)
