Our client for the Regional Territory Manager opportunity is a leading provider industrial equipment. This equipment is used in a number of different applications including machining, welding, fabrication, automation, and packaging. Established in 1998, this privately owned company has become the leader int their field here in the United States. They are also expanding into the global market place, with roughly 18% of sales being generated worldwide.

Job Description

The Territory Manager can work from a home office based anywhere from Chicago to Davenport, Iowa and will be responsible for continued growth and expansion of the Midwest region. This individual will develop and execute strategies and sales goals based on the company's long and short term goals and objectives. This role will require a strong sales background and looking for someone who is hungry and enthusiastic. This person will be working with contacts in operations and safety, or within the engineering department.

  • Meet/Exceed assigned quarterly and yearly regional sales target
  • To increase revenue and margin level for the territory
  • Execute market and segment growth strategy
  • Conduct territory data analysis
  • Implement project and opportunity forecasting
  • Provide competitive intelligence
  • Provide information and intelligence for new products and solutions
  • Provide customer and channel relationship management

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelors' degree required
  • 2-5 years of technical sales experience within similar markets and industry
  • Experience selling to a manufacturing environment
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent communications skills written and verbal
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to travel 50% within the Illinois, Eastern Iowa, and West Indiana area
