About Our Client

Our Client for the Territory Sales Engineer role is a leading manufacturer of scientific analytical instrumentation used for material analysis as well as a complete line of consumable products. They are serving customers in industrial, organic, government, and education for applications in materials, food and beverage, and life sciences. All of their design, manufacturing, and sales are based here in the US.

Job Description

The Territory Sales Engineer will be responsible for direct interfacing with existing and new customers. This individual will also be responsible for reviewing and discussing our client's product offerings with potential customers through presentations and by arranging and participating in demonstrations. The Territory Sales Engineer will have the full support of an inside engineering team and product management team, as well as the Regional Manager for all technical support needs.

  • Conduct needs analysis to uncover customer needs and requirements for solutions
  • Serve is the main contact with the customers on all aspects of business
  • Meet/Exceed assigned quarterly and yearly regional sales target
  • Promote products and innovations to customers while ensuring profit margin objectives are met
  • Work cross-functionally with project teams
  • Execute market and segment growth strategy
  • Conduct territory data analysis
  • Implement project and opportunity forecasting
  • Provide customer and channel relationship management

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Materials, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related is preferred)
  • Must have high technical aptitude and able to speak knowledgeably on technical applications
  • 3-7 years of Account Management OR Sales experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to large and small groups
  • High sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50% (Most travel will be local)
