About Our Client

My client, a leading global Investment Bank, specializing in Financial Services, is seeking a Regulatory Reporting leader for their New York City location.

Job Description

  • Supports regulatory reporting lead in the implementation of the IHC Regulatory Reporting Report
  • Supports the alignment of the existing regulatory reporting processes while implementing new processes and also produces existing regulatory reporting to ensure consistency
  • Takes initiative to understand the rule requirements as it relates to the US wholesale activities and acts as a subject matter expert
  • Provides analysis and develops process and governance for information required for reporting into the IHC; including but not limited to FR Y-9C and FR Y-14A/Q
  • Shows strong understanding of required returns and relationship to US wholesale entities
  • Builds and documents processes to support completion and review of all information required to support required returns
  • Supports continuous improvement efforts related to the regulatory reporting process and provides insight and new ideas in order to re-engineer processes
  • Supports key departmental projects and initiatives

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Business/Accounting/Financial Management, with accounting designation
  • Solid analytic skills
  • Comfortable with balance sheet and P&L analysis
  • Ability to translate high volumes of complex reporting requirements and data into simple and consistent information
  • Motivated individual with a proven strong track record to deliver results
  • Detail oriented and logical thinker that is curious and motivated to learn
  • Understands Wholesale Banking/Capital Markets businesses and products associated with balance sheet and P&L
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage both up and laterally with business partners
  • Strong Excel skills mandatory
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirement
  • Team player with ability to work both individually and collaboratively
  • Demonstrates time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines and is flexible to adapt to changing needs of the company
