Job Description

Responsibilities
 

  • Plan and implement annual sales strategies to retain and renew past event visitors
  • Actively prospect for new visitor sales leads
  • Develop a specific new business pipeline for visitors
  • Work and collaborate with the rest of the sales team to maximize opportunities and leads
  • Responsible for high volume of direct sales through cold calls, occasional travel to key industry events and face-to-face meetings with strategic accounts
  • Develop independently new prospect databases and leads
  • Develop partnerships with key associations and influencers to drive revenue
  • Upsell and grow existing accounts
  • Ensure the best event experience for all attendees

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales or business development experience
  • Strong sales and closer mentality to deliver results
  • Proven record in making a large number of calls each day. Not afraid to rejection.
  • Experience in starting and growing a sales pipeline of opportunities
  • Must be able to interact with C-suite level clientele via phone, email or in person
  • Individual must be highly organized, detail orientated and able to take direction in a high-paced environment.
  • Must be computer savvy with good working knowledge of Word, Power Point, Excel and Sales Force
  • Must have the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively. Team player
  • Multicultural experience or background to interact with an international clientele and global team
  • Must have interpersonal and social skills to collaborate internally and network actively with clientele
  • College degree (bachelor) minimum.
  • Not required but a plus:
  • Knowledge or experience of the retail or real estate industry
  • Experience in the tradeshow or conference business
  • Master or MBA
  • Spanish and French speaking
