Job Description

VP of Sales will report to CEO and be responsible for the following: .

  • Develop and execute regional strategy to achieve compelling short-term and long-term revenue and profit growth objectives, ultimately contributing to company value
  • Project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products and customers
  • Analyze sales figures and forecast sales targets
  • Develops, maintains and manages effective sales channels, key customer and partner relationships, to increase sales in both new and existing markets
  • Analyze trends and results of the regions and feedback to HQ
  • Implement sales programs by developing field sales action plans
  • Maintain and/or enhance sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping track with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors
  • Complete national sales operational requirement by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
  • Maintain national sales staff job results by counseling and coaching employees' planning, monitoring, and appraising job result
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

The Successful Applicant

The VP of Sales role will need the following:

  • BS degree in Life Science, engineering or business related discipline
  • MBA preferred
  • 10+ years experience in Sales, Marketing and/or Business Development with a successful track record in commercial operations
  • Deep market and technology expertise in life science tools, ideally in filtration technologies, with laboratory consumables, OEM and Contract Manufacturing experience
  • Creative entrepreneur, able to think big and conceive and deliver new opportunities
  • High-energy leader who drives execution with a high sense of urgency and purpose
  • Proven capacity to build and lead teams, and to interact as a constructive team player
  • Excellent communication skills
