Job Description

Reporting directly into the Chief Financial Officer, the Sarbanes Oxley Manager will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Company's subject matter expert on SOX 404.
  • Monitor changes in SOX laws, regulations, interpretations, and applicability to the Company.
  • Ensure that changes are communicated to management to ensure that changes are incorporated and implemented in applicable policies, procedures and practices within required timeframes.
  • Perform a materiality assessment and scoping of financial statement accounts, risks/assertions and controls.
  • Develop and/or make recommendations to enhance the Company's SOX program by staying abreast of new techniques, best practices and tools.
  • Maintain compliance with the COSO 2013 control framework Quarterly Deficiency Reporting
  • Prepare the consolidated quarterly summary for presentation to the Audit and Finance Committee. Quarterly 404 Monitoring and Analyses
  • Re-assess SOX scoping for any significant changes during the quarter
  • Manage the Company's Sarbanes-Oxley software application/system for the Company and its Affiliate Partners.
  • Provide users' training to system users as required.

The Successful Applicant

In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will posses the following:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least seven years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Prior experience in a banking environment, public accounting and/or internal audit preferred.
  • CPA and or CFA preferred
  • Able to collaborate and work effectively across functions
  • Team Player
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Excellent Organization and Project Management skills
